The EZ Way coffee maker is good choice for the frugal coffee lover.  I have used the EZ Way coffee maker for about five years now and I like it for a couple of important reasons:

It’s a Reusable Coffee Maker

The EZ Way coffee maker has a built-in reusable filter (which means no more filters to buy) and it is designed to make a single cup of coffee.  No more expensive paper filters that you throw out after one use.  You can use this coffee maker time and time again without buying filters.

The EZ Way Coffee Maker

It is perfect coffee maker when you don’t want to make a whole pot of coffee and also for taking to work so that you can make a fresh cup of coffee there (no more six hour old percolated coffee stew).  I have not had any problems with it whatsoever and the EZ Way coffee maker is easy to clean.

It Makes a Good Cup of Coffee

The EZ Way coffee maker makes a good tasting cup of coffee (while some coffee aficionados may right now be wailing like Charlton Heston upon seeing a post-apocalyptic New York on the beach, I like the taste).

I am sure that there are probably different product brand name coffee makers that do the same thing, but I know that this coffee maker works and that it works well.  For more information, visit the company website.

I found that the water runs through too quickly, resulting in very weak coffee (essentially coloured water). Any suggestions?

Try adding more coffee. The more coffee in the base, the slower it will go through and it will add more flavour and strength to the coffee.

what’s the purpose of the spike with the hole at the top? added 3 tbsp

    coffee, but found still weak.

Thanks for your post, Joan. The spike allows air into the EzWay so that it can drain. Without air, there would be a vacuum and nothing would drip through. The EzWay does not make coffee as strong as you would get from a bodum, for example. The water simply is not in contact with the coffee for long enough. It suits me fine, though. When I want an extra kick, I use my bodum. I suppose you could run the coffee through it twice, but this seems like a messy and inconvenient proposition. Thanks for posting. I look forward to hearing from you again soon.

I agree about the EZ way coffee maker coffee being watery. It’s like coffee flavored water. I’ve tried just about everything as well. I’ve put as much grounds in there as it will take and packed it down. Still turns out coffee water. I don’t know if the inventor of this ever tried his own product but someone dropped the ball when this product made it to department store shelves.

Hi Jason, Thanks very much for posting. It is terrific to hear from you. I guess the inventor must have been a lover of weak coffee. I don’t mind it, but I can definitely taste the difference between this coffee and something from a French press or store bought coffee. I normally make French press in the morning and take it with me to work. I use the EZ way at work. I love the convenience and the fact that it doesn’t use filters. It is WAY better coffee that the percolated swill that we used to get at work. I really do appreciate your comment, and hope that you will take the time to comment again. We’d all love to hear from you.
